What is the point of ultra-realism as an art form?
Sure, people who are able to recreate a photograph perfectly have a certain degree of talent, but not as artists, more as scanners or photocopiers. If your work is constantly mistaken for photography why not just take up photography? If your reference material is not your own, (ie: you take images you've found on the web or in a magazine and copy them) I'm sorry, but you are not an artist. My personal definition of the term "artist" (and yours may differ) implies that you have at least an ounce of creativity, a knowledge of composition, contrast or other things.
